Following is some preliminary container and shipping info. We are pleased to announce Geest Shipping as a sponsor providing discounted rates from the UK and Mainland Europe.

Shipping

The price for each 40 foot high cube container will be £1500 GBP return.

This price is the total payable (port, customs, red tape etc etc are included in this fantastic deal ex Le Havre and Porstmouth).

GBR: Geest have agreed to do road haulage at cost price.
SUI / EUR: Geest will have a price shortly for road haulage from / to Basel.
IRL / ECOSSE / South coast GBR: Geest are looking into the possibility to load inside the port of Portsmouth (zero charge and on the ground i.e. not high up on a truck).

NO Port Fees, Customs or Local Haulage Fees in Barbados

There will be zero port charges in Barbados, Geest will loan all containers in Barbados FOC.  Haulage and crane in Barbados, again zero charge.

For each container there will be a form (contact Andrew for more information). The form should indicate boat serial number (sail number) and each boats value. Everything else is deemed as “accessories” and need not be itemized as far as the Barbados  authorities are concerned. The form should be signed by the container organiser and returned asap.

If a boat were to stay in Barbados a charge of 23% + 15% VAT will be charged on the value of the boat.

Insurance

Shipping insurance is offered by Centor Insurance, a preferred partner with Geest Line Shipping.

Insurance premiums from the UK/Europe will be approximately £42.50 per boat (based on an average value of £8.500 GBP per boat).
